As much as Mia didn't want to, she had to go to the 100 club and support her client in singing that night. She had got Robyn a rare spot in the old club that many famous people had once gotten the opportunity to do. It was a right move for Robyn to do this gig. Mia had a lot on her mind and didn't confide in Robyn for advice. Not yet anyways. Sleeping with Zac didn't feel like a mistake, but boy, did she feel bad on Ashley. After catching Ash in the act with another woman, Mia felt he deserved it. Her impulsive actions always found a way to catch up with her. No matter, tonight Robyn had to do well to gain the support of a different crowd. The two waited anxiously behind the stage curtain and Robyn couldn't help but look behind it to see the crowd.
'I told him. I told him to be here at 7:30. Its now nearly 8:30' Robyn sighed upset. After becoming a little bit more serious with Ben she had realised how unreliable he could be. Every date she was left for hours waiting for him. He knew how to grovel, but Robyn couldn't stand his tardiness. She especially wanted him there tonight because she knew how much he liked her singing. Dedicating a song for him would have meant so much to him. She stepped back from the curtain for Mia to have a good look.
'Ben might not be out there, but someone else is' Mia said with a singing tone.
'Who' Robyn ran back to the curtain and saw in her eye line Taylor perched by the bar with a beer in his hand. She couldn't help buy lay a small smile on her face.
'I wonder how he knew about tonight' Robyn questioned and then looked down at Mia. 'Miaaa?' She said dragging her friends name.
'I might have hacked onto your twitter and made it bait were you'd be tonight.' She said talking through her teeth and looking down. Robyn sighed and couldn't help but be annoyed.
'Who exactly are you rooting for? Ben or Tay?' She asked leaning on the wall.
'Does it matter? If ones here I'll know you'll perform to your best ability. You might not say it, but I see the way you look when you talk about Taylor.'
'I'm trying to get over him and your practically inviting him out with us! Miaaa' Robyn turned her face and banged her head lightly on the wall. 'How would you feel if I invited Zac here tonight? No doubt he's gonna come down here after he finds out were Tay is." Robyn said taking her place on stage with the curtain down. She put her hand on the microphone and spoke once more to Mia who had her apologetic look smacked on her face. 'Just make decisions about my career. Not my love life' and with that Mia nodded and watched as the curtain went up on Robyn and the music started. She made her way to the bar and raised her eye brows at Taylor who nodded at her, only taking his eyes of Robyn for a second. After a few songs played Robyn spoke to the crowd.
'I'm not sure if he's here tonight, but I would like to dedicate this song to someone very special to me' whilst she was saying this a sudden urge to say 'Taylor Hanson' came into her brain. Instead she looked in Taylor's direction and smiled at him. He was oblivious that she was talking about him as he hoped the stage lights in her eyes would hide him away from here.
She sang 'Know all about, about your reputation. And now its bound to be a heart break situation. But I can't help it if I'm helpless everytime that I'm in your arms.' She smiled and decided to go into the crowd and belt out the song with all her might. 'You walk in and my strength walks out the door. Say my name and I can't fight it anymore. Oh I know I should go, but I need your touch just too damn much!' Once on the floor of the club she began to seductively walk through the crowds, touching mens cheeks as she walked past them and afterwards them jumping ecstatically in excitement. She had Taylor in her view who was standing straight onlooking her performance. 'Loving you, isn't really something I should do, I shouldn't want to spend my time with you..I should try to be strong. But baby your the right kind of wrong' she never realised how the lyrics of the song fir her life situation with Taylor. She sang the next verse, deciding not to approach Taylor until the turning point of the song. She was feet away from Taylor and she snapped her heads towards him and made her way across the floor to the gorgeous blonde. 'I should try to run. But I just can't seem too, coz everytime I run, your the one I run too' Robyn was right up to Taylor who was looking down at her grinning as she sang the song to him. Her arm that didn't hold the microphone flung across his neck and her leg seductively lifted against his side until the two were dangerously close. Robyn didn't know what was coming over her. She felt powerful knowing Taylor wanted her and he wouldn't object to this. She continued 'OH LOVING YOU! Isn't really something I should do! Shouldn't want to spend my time with you! I should try to be strong (I should tryy) but baby your the right kind of wrong!' As the song and music finished Robyn was breathing heavily and still inches away from Taylor's face and still in his grasp. The two had their eyes locked and as the clapping of fans turned into audible noise Robyn couldn't help but close her eyes as Taylor slowly moved down his lips to Robyn. She frowned thinking about it for a split second and opened her eyes quickly, like she had just woken up from a dream. Her eyes darted around the room and she found someone not clapping. Ben was standing in full view of Robyn and Taylor and Robyn quickly removed Tay's hands from her waist. She lowered her leg from his side and ran back to the stage bowing and smiling. Her eyes were on Ben's unsatisfied face and she knew that she would have to confront him sooner or later. She nodded for him to come back stage. Taylor, still in shock to what had just happened stood there smiling to himself.
Robyn sat patiently at her dressing table waiting for Ben to find his way into her room. She thought back to how bad the situation was. Singing a dedicated song to her ex fiancee instead of her current boyfriend? How would a guy take that? With that a queit knock came to her door.
'Come in' Robyn said loudly.
'Its me' ben said with a sad tone. He walked in and she studied his body language. He was tense with his hands in his pockets. Robyn thought there was no need to beat around the bush.
'What you saw, it wasn't what it looked like' Robyn tried to sound convincing.
'It looks like exactly what it is to me.' Ben said with a stern voice.
'And what is that?' Robyn said standing up and fully facing Ben.
'You still in love with Taylor. You scream his name during sex. You sing our song to him?' Ben was pointing down to his hand listing his argument.
'I wrote that song with him' Robyn muttered just loud enough for ben to hear. He sighed realising how harsh he was being. They had barely been going out for 3 months. She spent 4 years in love with Taylor. He couldn't compete with that. As he saw Robyn was nearly in tears he steadily walked up to her and placed her in his arms. She fitted perfectly to his embrace and let out her tears.
'I may not be Taylor Hanson, but I do trust you and how you feel about me. I can try to be more like him?' Robyn immediatly shook her head and looked up at Ben.
'I'm falling for this Ben. The one hugging me right now' he let out a little sigh and moved Robyns hair from her face behind her ear.
'And I'm falling for this strange, crazy and...beautiful person I'm holding' they hugged it out for another few minutes and kissed eachother until the situation was all forgotten.
Meanwhile..Mia was sorting out her own problems in the mainroom of the club.
